Paving Foreman
Marino Corporation; a Montgomery County based Heavy/Highway Contractor is seeking an energetic, proactive and self-motivated individual to serve as an Asphalt Paving Foreman for road construction projects in the suburban Philadelphia area and the Lehigh Valley. This is a full-time seasonal position that involves some physical work. The Foreman will work under a Project Superintendent or run smaller projects independently. Candidate must possess the following qualifications:

Minimum 5 years paving experience with at least 2 years as a Foreman
-
NECPET Certification
-
Knowledge of the methods and materials involved in DOT Asphalt Paving
-
Understanding of grades and slopes and the calculations involved in material yields
-
Knowledge of the fundamentals of compaction
-
Knowing how to produce a quality paving project
-
Knowledge of current safety regulations and the will to enforce them
-
Valid Driver’s License
-
Basic Computer skills
General Laborer
Laborers primarily work under the direction of the project supervisor and are directed by supervisor to perform certain tasks. The following are some of the tasks laborers would perform:

Excavation of curb and sidewalk
-
Laborers will work along with the machines doing this work and generally keep the area clean of any spillage onto adjacent street or sidewalk. This would require them to use a shovel and broom.

Installing stone subbase material
-
Laborers will work along with the machines placing this material where new sidewalk is to be installed. They would be using a shovel to help in the grading of stone prior to the concrete being placed.

Concrete work
-
Laborers would install concrete furnished for the new curb and sidewalk. They would use shovels, rakes and hand finishing tools for the installation of this work.

Asphalt work
-
Laborers would work alongside the machines that are installing the asphalt pavement. They would be using shovels, rakes and brooms in the completion of this work.

Laborers may perform other tasks in addition to the primary ones noted above including traffic control (flagging) and general job/shop clean up.
Concrete Foreman
We are looking to employ an experienced concrete foreman to supervise our concrete laborers and oversee all activities relating to the erection of concrete structures. The responsibilities of the concrete foreman include evaluating the performance of the concrete laborers, ensuring that project costs remain within budget, and investigating work-related accidents. You should also be able to manage project materials and resources as well as oversee the use of equipment and tools.
To be successful as a concrete foreman, you should be able to correctly interpret blueprints, plans, and drawings. Ultimately, an exceptional concrete foreman should demonstrate excellent management and problem-solving skills as well as enforce compliance with safety regulations.
Concrete Foreman Responsibilities:

Overseeing all activities pertaining to concrete preparation, placement, installation, finishing, and curing.

Dividing concrete construction projects into different stages and evaluating how much labor and materials are required for each stage.

Resolving all problems that may affect project quality and completion.

Consulting blueprints, drawings, and plans to ensure that concrete structures are accurately placed and installed.

Delegating tasks to concrete laborers and providing overall guidance.
-
Maintaining accurate records of the number of hours worked and the number of materials used for each project.
-
Ensuring that formwork and shoring are erected, supported, and dismantled based on engineering designs and drawings.
-
Inspecting concrete after the formwork and shoring has been removed and instructing concrete laborers on how to correct defects and concrete roughness.
Concrete Foreman Requirements:

High school diploma or GED.
-
Bachelor's or associate's degree in construction management or construction science is advantageous.

Certification through the American Institute of Constructors or the Construction Management Association of America is preferred.

Proven experience working as a Concrete Foreman.

Commercial driver's license.

Working knowledge of estimation software.

The ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and plans.

Outstanding organizational and time management skills.

Excellent management and leadership skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Drivers - New Openings

We have an opening for a CDL Driver driving a 10 wheel Dump Truck.

We have an opening for a Non CDL for a Sweeper Truck.
Project Manager / Estimator
We, Marino Corporation, are growing and expanding our Estimating department and adding a Project Manager.
Applicants should have at least (3) years of experience in Highway type construction and a knowledge of site work for small projects.
We utilize HCSS software for estimating and costing.
Individual will be working along side our current estimators/project managers and our estimating administrator.
Salary and benefits will be with be in line with the applicants experience and knowledge.
This is full time position, but we will entertain applicants who may be looking for a part-time situation.
