Valley Forge Park: Granite Block Restoration

In 2021, Marino Corporation was the prime contractor for the Upper Merion Township in PA, for rehabilitation of the granite block pavement at the National Memorial Arch within Valley Forge National Historical Park, as well as, other miscellaneous construction on the property.
This was over a 10 week span of work.
Along St. Rt. PA-3031, with the National Memorial Arch to the south, we removed, categorized, and took inventory of every block, assigning a number to it. We then cleaned each block and reinstalled in the same order aiming to be as close as possible to the original pattern.
This job was extra special to us as a company, not only, because of the incredible significance Valley Forge National Historical Park had in the Revolutionary War, but even more specifically, it's the extraordinary story of George Washington guiding more than 12,500 men, women, and children through the harsh conditions. Many individuals in our family have found personal strength and wisdom through the principals of George Washington, but so have so many of our foremen and laborer's as well. So, being able to do this work, the right way as we strive for always, was extremely important to us.
